A Legacy of Excellence. Founded in 1984 by Philip and Violet Richardson, Current Affairs began as a humble operation run from the family’s Honolulu home. Over the last 40 years, the company has blossomed into Hawaii’s leading event planning enterprise, orchestrating unforgettable experiences that include access to Hawaii’s premier venues, gourmet culinary and the best in entertainment across all the Hawaiian Islands.
From Family Business to Industry Leader. Tiffany Richardson’s journey with Current Affairs is deeply personal. Born near the same year that her parents established the company, she grew up in the family business. Her ascent to leadership was not handed to her on a silver platter; instead, she started from the ground up, learned every facet of the business and earned her position through dedication and skill before acquiring the business.
